Every person arrives in a different part of the story: sometimes it is you facing the illness, sometimes someone you love. Every option begins with the same doula promise: you have someone beside you to listen, offer comfort and reassurance, help you prepare for the unknowns, and support what matters to you. Navigation and planning serve that relationship; they do not replace it.

Time with a doula by your side to talk through the unknowns, identify the decisions ahead, and leave with greater reassurance and a clear next-step plan.

A deeper review of the care situation, family dynamics, resources, and clinician questions. Includes a written summary and action plan.

Ongoing Serious Illness Support

Roughly 20 minutes, at no cost. We talk through what is happening, what decisions may be ahead, and what kind of support would actually help, including other professionals or services that may be a better fit.
Accessibility and flexibility
Fees depend on the scope of support and are discussed openly after the discovery call. Sliding-scale or community-support slots may be offered selectively, based on availability. JourneyWell is a private-pay, non-clinical service and does not bill insurance.

JourneyWell offers non-medical doula companionship, comfort, reassurance, education, planning, and resource guidance. JourneyWell does not diagnose, prescribe, provide medical advice, psychotherapy, legal advice, or emergency care. It does not replace hospice, palliative care, or other clinicians.
